How We Plan and Support Your Project
Committing money to a country you have never worked in should feel like a series of small decisions, not one leap. So here is the sequence Karobar Gateways follows, from your first message to work happening in Baku or Kurdamir. Four stages, and stage three is where you decide whether there is a stage four.
- Stage one costs you nothing but a message
- The plan names every step and who owns it: you, us or a professional
- Work begins only after you approve the scope
We're a consultancy, not a law firm, and no stage of this ends in a promised return, visa, residency or approval.

The process
How does Karobar Gateways work, step by step?
Four stages. You send your project details. We go through them with you. You receive a plan setting out the steps in order. Then, if you approve it, our team carries out the agreed work in Azerbaijan.

Step 1
Stage one: your details reach us
What you want to do in Azerbaijan: a company, a property, an Airbnb unit or a farm. Ordinary paragraphs beat a formal brief. Your worries are information too, so put them in.
Step 2
Stage two: we review it together
A conversation rather than a form. We go through your goals, the budget range you're working with and your circumstances, and we ask the questions that only apply here.
Step 3
Stage three: the plan reaches you
Every step in the order it has to happen. The legal steps are carried by the Azerbaijani lawyers we work with, and any step needing a tax adviser or accountant carries a note, so those fees and their timing enter your planning now instead of later.
Step 4
Stage four: the agreed work happens
You decide to go ahead, the scope is settled, and our team does the work in Baku or Kurdamir. Decisions that come up along the way come back to you.
Stage one is one message long. Send us your project details and the review can start.

What do checking, planning and managing mean in practice?
Checking tests your project against the way things actually work here. Planning puts the steps in order and names who owns each one. Managing is our team doing the agreed work and telling you what has happened while you were away.
Checking: should this project happen?
The review runs in both directions. You learn whether the idea stands up in Azerbaijan, and we learn whether we can help without pretending. When the answer is no, you hear it at stage two.
Checking: seeing the thing itself
A building, a street, a plot of land: none of them survive inspection by photograph. Someone goes, looks and reports back. That is a working assessment, not a legal opinion or a formal valuation.
Planning: order, owners, dependencies
A plan you cannot act on is just a document. Ours lists the steps in sequence and marks each one as yours, ours or a qualified professional's, so nothing stalls waiting on an owner nobody named.
Managing: doing it and reporting it
Once the scope is settled, our team carries out the work and reports back as it goes. What that covers is fixed by the scope rather than assumed.

By project type
How does the Azerbaijan project process apply to your kind of project?
The four stages don't change, but the weight does. Company setup turns on sequence and paperwork. A purchase turns on verification. An Airbnb unit turns on somebody being present. A farm turns on people willing to work the land.
| Stage | Company setup | Property purchase | Airbnb unit | Farm project |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You send details | What the business will do, and how far your planning has got | What you want to buy, where, and the budget range | The unit you own or intend to buy, and how hands-on you want to be | The kind of farming you have in mind, and at what scale |
| We review it with you | Whether it is ready for setup or needs testing first | Whether your requirements match what genuinely exists | Whether short stays suit that unit and your goals | Whether the idea is realistic for the land and the district |
| You get a plan | The setup steps in sequence, and which of them need outside professionals | How the search, the checks and the purchase steps fit together | What the setup involves, and what ongoing management would cover | What the setup involves, and what support it needs locally |
| We work on the ground | The agreed steps of company registration in Azerbaijan | The agreed visits and coordination, as local support to buy property in Azerbaijan | The agreed Airbnb setup and management in Baku | The agreed farm setup and agricultural support in Kurdamir |

Roles
Who does what during your project?
You decide, supply information and approve. Our team handles the review, the plan, the checks that need somebody in the country, and the agreed work afterwards. Legal, tax and accounting sign-off sits with qualified professionals. The plan shows that split before you commit.
| Who | What they handle | Why it sits with them |
|---|---|---|
| You | Goals, budget, decisions, approvals, signatures and funding | It is your money and your project, so every decision stays yours |
| Our team | The review, the plan, checking on site, and the agreed work in Baku or Kurdamir, with updates to you | These are the parts that need somebody physically in Azerbaijan |
| Qualified professionals | Legal, tax and accounting sign-off | We're a consultancy, not a law firm, and this work needs the right qualification |
Naming those steps early is deliberate. A professional fee you discover in month three is a worse fee than the same one you saw coming in week one.
Getting started
What do you need before you contact us?
Not much. A rough idea of what you want to do in Azerbaijan, a budget range you're willing to say out loud, and the questions you keep returning to. A business plan, a chosen property and a flight are all optional.
- The shape of it: a company, a property, an Airbnb unit, a farm, or some combination.
- Your starting point: still thinking, already decided, or already holding something in Azerbaijan.
- The thing that worries you most. It usually tells us more than the rest put together.
If the idea itself is the uncertain part, stage two may send you to our business consultancy in Azerbaijan before anything gets set up.
Scope and cost
How do scope and quotes work?
We price each project after the review, because a single site visit and ongoing management are not the same job. You and we settle what is in and what is out. Official and third-party charges are listed apart from our fee.
The scope arrives before the commitment, never the other way round. An afternoon spent checking a building is one kind of job. Ongoing property management in Baku is another. Doing it in that order is a fair part of why investors choose Karobar Gateways.
A plan from us is a considered view of the steps ahead. It is not a guarantee of profit, rental occupancy, farming income, a visa, residency or any official approval.
Curious what stage three would say about your project? Send the details and we'll begin at stage one.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to commit to anything when I send my project details?
No. Sending details starts the review and nothing else. You get a plan of steps back, and our team only begins work in Azerbaijan once you decide to go ahead and the scope is settled between us.
Can the whole process start while I'm outside Azerbaijan?
Yes. Stages one to three happen remotely: you write, we review it with you, the plan comes back. Whether a later stage needs you present depends on the project, and you are told that before you commit.
Do you handle the legal and tax parts of my project?
The legal part is covered: qualified Azerbaijani lawyers work with us on it, so you are not looking for one from abroad. Tax and accounting sign-off stays with your own adviser, and your plan marks those steps early enough to arrange and budget for them.
How will I know what is happening once work starts?
Our team reports back as the agreed work is carried out. How often you hear from us, and by what means, is settled with you as part of the scope, so it fits the project and the way you prefer to work.
Start at stage one: tell us about your project
Send your project details and we'll go through them with you. A plan of steps comes back, and what happens after that is your call. You can also email info@karobargateways.com.
